Back in the 1930s, when Le Galion was founded, Europe still bore the marks of the previous century’s wave of orientalism, which shone a spotlight on a preconceived image of the East by the West. Sovereign offers a lavish view of generosity as a highly prized quality in Middle-Eastern and North African regions, all from a very Parisian point of view.

“I have imagined a fragrance of great proportions, truly larger than life, a fragrance for those who burn bright and turn heads. First, the spices burst open, then comes the iridescent rose – a nod to the House’s chic French touch. All of these scents spin round on a never-ending luxurious base of amber, woods and resins.”
