Context
Paul Vacher knew his way around leather: in the early 1960s, Christian Dior commissioned him for a powerful and haughty women’s fragrance. The perfumer composed what would later become Diorling, a leathery chypre scent. Earlier in his career, he also co-created Lanvin’s Scandal, a dark leathery scent.
As a tribute to these landmarks of the twentieth century, Le Galion has created Cuir, robustly elegant, between emancipated femininity and demonstrative masculinity.
A word from our perfumer
“The leather accord takes up a lot of space, supported by the ambergris and the sandalwood. The lily and the musk bring softer inflections to add a certain amount of refinement, the brand’s signature.”
